Dalcahue church located in Chiloé , it was declared National Monument in1971. Dalcahue Church form part of the group of Chiloé's 16 Churches declared for UNESCO Heritage Site 2000.

Dalcahue church was constructed at the end of the XIXth century, in the place where previously an ancient chapel of Jesuitical missions existed.
While all the buildings of the area are characterized by their well studied emplacement, this is still even more evident in the case of Dalcahue: the construction rises in front of the channel that separates the Big Island from the Quinchao Island and offers a large panoramic.

The Church's Construction

Similarly to many of the Chiloé churches, It is lined externally with tejuelas of larch, to which the pass of the time has imprinted a silvery look. Dalcahue church stands out for its portico, quite deep that has nine arches:six in tip, two remounted and the central in half point.
