The VI Region of the liberator General Bernardo O'Higgins is one of the fifteen regions in which Chile is divided. It is composed by three provinces; its capital is Rancagua city. It is named in honour to the Liberator and Father of the Patria, Mr. Bernardo O'Higgins Riquelme. It is also known as O'Higgins's Region.

The Región of the Liberator General Bernardo O'Higgins limits to the West with the Pacific Ocean, to the East with the Republic of Argentina, to the North with both the Valparaíso Region and Santiago Metropolitan Region and to the South with the Maule Region.
The Region expands between latitude 33°51’and 35°01’S., and from longitude 70°02’W. until the Pacific Ocean. The surface, calculated by the Military Geographic Institute, is of 16,387 km2.
