Valdivian Fort System

Valdivia's System of fortresses,also known as the Key of the south sea, it is a set of fortifications placed in Corrall, Niebla and Isla Mancera, At Valdivia's bay. It was one of the biggest fortifications built by the Spaniards in America.

Its principal mission was The Defense Of Valdivia's City from the foreign colonial potencies, pirates and corsairs.At the same time, it served as base of supplies for the Spanish ships that were crossing Cabo de Hornos.
This defensive system is situated at Valdivia's bay, in the southern zone of Chile.
