The Niebla Museum is located in Niebla, the bay's Northern border. It was built in 1671 and baptized in honour to the Peru’s Viceroy, Count of Lemus. Juan Garland reconditioned the walls with cancagua stone- which make it inaccessible from the sea- and constructed a gunpowder arsenal and ovens to melt bullets. Located in the Niebla's Fortress:: VR 360 ::Its 18 cannons inter-crossed their bullets with those of the cannons of the fortifications of the Mancera island. NowadaysCurrently, the "Museo de Sitio" exhibits all the matters related to the defensive system and the criteria of the restoration of 1992. |
