The National Museum of Fine Arts is one of the principal centers of diffusion of visual arts in Chile as well as in other countries of the region.

It was created in 1880 and is one the oldest of South America.
The current building, the Fine Arts Palace, dates of 1910, and its inauguration celebrates the centenary of Chile's independence.
It was designed by the Chilean-French architect Emile Jecquier and it is located in the Forest Park of the Santiago’s commune in Santiago de Chile.
